Bukchon Hanok Village

Namsan Seoul Tower

The Most Korean Alley

Bukchon, meaning north of Cheonggyechon, is a town that has been lived mostly by aristocrats and royals. This is not an area built for sightseeing, but a representative populated area of Hanok in Seoul, where people actually live. It is surrounded by Samcheong Park and Baegaksan Mountain, the harmony of lush forests and Hanok is impressive. Also as it is close to Samcheong-dong and Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village is popular as tourist spot to look around together. You can experience traditions and customs at the Hanok Experience Center and Workshop by Bukchon Culture Center. In a house with a long history, you can make special memories with various programs.

Gyeongbokgung Palace

Namsan Seoul Tower

A beautiful place to feel the Korean atmosphere in the city

The first palace built by king Taejo in 1395. It was used during the early and late Joseon Dynasty and was nicknamed Bukgwol. Many parts of the building was damaged through fire and Japanese Invasion of Korea(1592), and was not used for more than 200 years. But it was rebuilt during the time of King Gojong of the late Joseon Dynasty. It was partially restored in 2010 and released to the public, and you can see features such as King`s office and Royal residence.

Cheongwadae

Namsan Seoul Tower

The center of Korean politics

Korea`s official residence of the president. It consists of main building(president`s room, reception room, meeting room, residential room) and an accessory building(secretary`s office, security service, reception hall, guest house). Behind the Cheongwadae is a small hill that leads to Bukak Mountain and a large garden, a pond and a traditional house. So it is a good place to take a walk. It has been visited by many tourists since it opened in November 2001. In particular, the 300-year-old pine tree, rose of sharon, fountain and phoenix statue are used as memorial spots for tourists

Korea Furniture Museum

Namsan Seoul Tower

A place where the wisdom and beauty of Korean ancestors is alive

A special museum that gathers, preserves and displays traditional Korean wooden furniture. It is exhibited to provide easy access to traditional Korean housing and interior decoration with Korean furniture.
